Education, being the wellspring of human consciousness, is diligently committed to the noble objective of providing higher education to the common populace residing in the  remote hilly districts. This endeavor has been made possible through the active participation of the local community and the visionary guidance of the founding campus chief, Narayan Bahadur Sainju, which resulted in the collective accumulation of financial resources from the community. ‘Okhaldhunga Campus, Okhaldhunga’ proudly occupies its place as the pioneering community campus within the district, its establishment dating back to the year 2042, following the attainment of affiliation with Tribhuvan University.

Having initially been housed in a structure within Okhaldhunga, the campus currently finds itself situated in 18 rooms distributed across four buildings, all situated on its own land, covering an expanse of approximately 11 ropani. Nestled amidst the tranquil and aesthetically pleasing natural surroundings of the Okhaldhunga district headquarters, this campus conducts both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. At the undergraduate level, it offers instruction in the fields of management, education, and humanities, while at the postgraduate level, the focus is directed towards education-related subjects.

The comprehensive development of the campus, spanning across academic, physical, and practical dimensions, is meticulously nurtured through collaboration with various stakeholders, including the student body, the local provincial government, ardent education advocates, community leaders, and the University Grants Commission. Despite facing a spectrum of challenges, this campus, presently catering to an approximate student body of 500, advances unwaveringly, with an enduring commitment to providing quality education that aligns with the demands of the 21st century.
